Ever wanted to visit Africa? Have you seen the Watoto Children’s Choir in concert and thought, ‘I would love to visit Uganda?’ If so, now is your chance!
TEAR Fund is pleased to be partnering with Break Free Expeditions, helping Kiwis fulfil their dream of volunteering at Watoto.
In January 2012, you are invited to join a team from New Zealand, to visit Watoto Children's Village to take part in looking after babies at the Baby Watoto Homes near and around Kampala, Uganda. There will also be the opportunity to visit one of TEAR Fund's child sponsorship projects to see first hand where child sponsorship money goes, as well as seeing a little of Africa on a short safari (additional cost). During your stay in Uganda you will:
1. Experience Watoto Village life first hand
2. Volunteer at the 2 Baby Watoto Homes around Kampala (Bulrushes = 70 babies; Subi = 300 babies)
3. Visit a local Ugandan Tear Fund project
4. Optional activities (additional cost) include a wildlife safari, white water rafting the Nile and fishing on Lake Victoria.

Trip Departure: 1st January 2012
Trip duration: 21 days
Trip Cost: from $6,800 includes airfares, accommodation in Uganda, most catering, ground transportation and $1,000 contribution to supplies needed at the babies homes.
