Events Coordinator

A new and exciting role now exists for an Events Coordinator!

We are seeking someone with previous events experience who has an understanding of the church culture within New Zealand. Your focus would be to support the Events Manager in planning, logistics and executing our events to the highest standard.

Our events and tours involve working with national and international musicians, speakers and churches across New Zealand so your communication skills will be second to none and your professionalism outstanding. It will also be an opportunity for you to make good use of key contacts within your Christian networks.

This is an extremely busy role, with nearly 10 touring events every year, so you would need to have a great deal of energy and enthusiasm and the ability to be away from home for up to 3 weeks at a time.

You will also be highly motivated and our ministry would be a driving force for you.

Key areas of responsibility include: • Event Communication • Pre-tour planning and tour documentation • Post tour procedures • Event/concert evaluations • Corporate Events (internal)

To be successful in this role you will have: • Professional attitude • Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask • Understanding of meeting stakeholder needs both internal and external • Preferably demonstrated success in event coordination • Outstanding communication skills both verbal and written • Willing to ‘go the extra mile’ • Understanding of budget control • Exceptional planning, prioritizing and multi-tasking skills • Calm disposition especially under pressure • Be able to work unsupervised, whilst keeping the big picture in mind • Strong MS Office skills • Secondary education a must, prefer a tertiary qualification in event management of equivalent.
