TEAR Fund is seeking applicants for a role that combines a number of your top admin skills and is the welcoming face for visitors at our Auckland office.

The role of the Receptionist is to ensure the visitor experience at TEAR Fund is positive, welcoming and efficient and to perform all reception tasks to a high standard. The role includes managing room bookings at the facility, staff and guest hospitality, other database and administrative tasks and supporting the Business Services team as required.

Applicants who have experience in reception or hospitality roles are preferred. Skills and experience in administrative support and data entry are an advantage. Successful candidates will need to have an excellent standard of personal and work space presentation, a willing attitude, the ability to multitask and prioritize workload, be welcoming and pleasant and have excellent work ethics.

A keen desire to serve others and a passion for the mission of TEAR Fund is a must.

Volunteer Opportunity - temporary assignment

TEAR Fund's Gift for Life catalogue is a great way for our supporters to purchase a gift at Christmas for their loved ones that keeps on giving.

To assist us to provide an efficient service to our gift for life supporters we are looking for a volunteer to fulfil gift card orders (picking/packing) and other related tasks. Applicants must have great attention to detail, be able to work unsupervised be and passionate about providing a great customer experience.

Immediate start to Christmas - 2 hours per day - full training provided - reasonable travel costs reimbursed.

Graduate Accountant

TEAR Fund has an opportunity for a Graduate Accountant to join our Business Services team. If you are a new graduate looking for your first role and have a passion for TEAR Fund’s mission then this could be the role for you!

The role involves: Preparation and analysis of reports; assisting with tasks associated with budget preparation and reporting, auditing, PAYE and GST return and supporter account journals; assisting with monthly account reconciliations, journals and standing invoices; management of the fixed asset register; reviewing Aged balance reports and staff purchases; assisting other departments with budgets and financial matters.

A successful candidate will have a degree level qualification in Accounting – experience working in an office environment and applied accounting experience is an advantage. Exceptional oral and written language skills are necessary as well as clear, concise and courteous written communication. Our ideal candidate will have excellent attention to details, the ability to follow instructions, follow up on issues and be a team player. Previous experience working for a non-profit organisation in the aid and development sector is preferable.
