What percentage of my money goes to programmes? At TEAR Fund we’re committed to keeping our administration costs as low as possible so that the maximum amount of funds can go to our project partners. We work directly with indigenous churches and Christian partners in developing countries on practical and locally relevant programmes. Over 80 percent of all money raised in the year ended June 30 2006 went towards our overseas programmes - child sponsorship, Microenterprise, community development and disaster relief. A further 3 percent was used for education and advocacy here in New Zealand, helping Christians better understand poverty issues from a biblical and Christian perspective. All our projects are subject to internal and external reviews, to ensure money is being used efficiently and with integrity. Copies of our financial statements are available on request.
